How Velvetica scaled sync operations with Bridge.audio

Velvetica is a Paris-based independent music publisher known for its vast catalog and active sync licensing operations. As their catalog has scaled to over 56,000 tracks (including works by renowned artists such as Bon Entendeur, Chassol, and Caravan Palace), managing content and responding quickly to sync briefs has become increasingly complex. That’s when they turned to Bridge.audio to streamline operations, improve discoverability, and enable smarter workflows.
How Velvetica uses Bridge.audio
Daily sync pitching with playlists
Sync is at the core of Velvetica operations. Sync managers like Arnaud Gimat rely on Bridge.audio every day to respond to briefs from film, TV, and advertising clients. Bridge.audio AI-tagging is key to this workflow. It automatically analyzes each track when uploaded and adds tags like genre, mood, instrumentation, vocal type and more. This ensures that every track is consistently labeled and easy to find. The Velvetica team then filters their Bridge library by auto-tag and builds sync-specific playlists that match the needs of each brief, using Bridge Projects feature. Arnaud explains:
Bridge is one of the tools I use the most. It’s really the center of our work to respond to briefs and navigate our catalog.
In their first year on Bridge, Velvetica created 389 unique sync projects, more than one per day.

Smart music search thanks to AI auto-tagging
With 56,000 tracks in their catalog, the Velvetica team needs more than just memory to identify the right tracks for each sync brief. Navigating such a vast collection requires a powerful music search tool.
This is where Bridge.audio AI-tagging changes the game.
With Bridge, Velvetica now filters their Bridge library by tag instead of relying only on memory. This allows them to quickly respond to sync briefs with relevant, high-quality selections from across their extensive catalog, often re-discovering tracks within their catalog they wouldn’t otherwise have thought of.
Autotagging is really effective. It’s a practical navigation tool that performs well even with our large catalog. We use it to search through our catalog and filter tags broadly or narrowly depending on what we’re looking for.
This layered approach enhances both creative exploration and the ability to pinpoint specific tracks that meet detailed brief requirements.

Unlocking sync deals, effortlessly
Velvetica has also begun listing music on Bridge Sync, Bridge.audio discovery hub that leverages the power of AI to help rights holders find sync opportunities for their music, and music curators find the perfect music for their audiovisual projects.
The Bridge Sync Hub allows music supervisors and licensing professionals to discover tracks organically from the Velvetica catalog, without any prior outreach.
Thanks to this visibility, Velvetica has already unlocked two promising sync licensing deals within their first year on the Bridge Sync Hub. One is currently in negotiation, and another is close to finalization. These deals came organically, initiated by supervisors who discovered their music directly on Bridge Sync hub.
Two of our tracks were discovered by music supervisors on Bridge Sync. We didn’t have to do anything, these sync deals just fell in our lap. It’s really promising.
This expands Velvetica’s reach beyond direct pitching and helps surface catalog gems in a passive, ongoing way.
Storage and access for audiovisual projects
Beyond sync licensing, Velvetica also manages the audio rights for audiovisual companies like Pathé and Gaumont, this includes music created specifically for films, series, or media productions that may never be released commercially. These tracks, though not intended for traditional soundtrack release or sync pitching, still need to be securely archived and accessible.
We also use Bridge to store music that won’t necessarily be used for sync but that we need to keep, including music from audiovisual companies.
Bridge.audio allows Velvetica to centralize and manage these assets efficiently, ensuring that even non-commercial tracks are well organized and easy to retrieve when needed.
What Velvetica used before Bridge (Disco, Dropbox..)
Before switching to Bridge.audio, Velvetica relied on a fragmented set of tools: Disco for pitching tracks and Dropbox for file storage. While each tool offered partial functionality, they lacked the unified workflows and powerful search tools that Bridge now provides.
I didn’t find Disco well designed for navigating the catalog. Bridge is much more comfortable for storage and navigation.
These earlier tools also made it harder to centralize their growing catalog or respond quickly to briefs. Arnaud noted that working with older systems required keeping files locally on his laptop and manually tracking pitches.
With over 56,000 tracks, these older tools prevented them from scaling.
Bridge.audio replaced this patchwork with an all-in-one platform, combining playlist creation, catalog storage, metadata tagging, and a built-in discovery hubs, all in one place.
Results after switching
In just one year on Bridge.audio, Velvetica created and sent 389 sync responses. That’s a remarkable level of activity and a clear sign that the platform has become integral to their daily operations. Notable results include:
Enhanced UX: Bridge intuitive interface, drag-and-drop functionality, and batch editing make daily work more efficient
Robust autotagging: Fast and precise tagging empowers the team to search and filter their catalog effectively
Centralized catalog: All assets are stored in one place, accessible to multiple teams for both creative and administrative tasks
Sync licensing traction: The Bridge Sync Hub has already led to concrete opportunities, confirming its real-world value
Additionally, Velvetica appreciates the close collaboration with the Bridge.audio team. As active users, they’ve contributed feedback that has helped shape future updates and improvements.
The Bridge Team is really responsive, and the fact that we’re able to give feedback and influence upcoming features is really valuable to us.
