Remote Control Records was founded in 2001 by Harvey Saward and Steve Cross. The independent record label provides publicity, label management, distribution, and marketing services to international and local artists and labels.
Remote Control's current roster of international artists includes Aldous Harding, Arca, Big Thief, FKA Twigs, Grimes, Jenny Hval, Kamasi Washington, The National, Parquet Courts, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Snail Mail, Spoon, The xx, Yaeji, and many others.
The label also represents the Beggars Group in Australia and New Zealand, which includes 4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade, XL Recordings, and Young. Remote Control also provides marketing and publicity services for Omnian Music Group (Captured Tracks, 2MR, Sinderlyn) and Secret City Records.

How does the relationship between record companies and artists work?
Once you have signed with a record company, you will have dedicated people to work with. Often it will be a project manager, and one or more artistic directors in charge of your project. These will be the main contacts with whom you will exchange. From then on, they will be at your service, and will listen to your needs while taking into account the specifications carried out throughout your contract.
