Following the success of last year’s Cannes Sync Awards, we partnered again with the French Association of Music Supervisors to launch the 2025 Film Sync Awards. This time, we were also joined by the UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors and the Asociación de Supervisión Musical. Participants were invited to pitch a sync-friendly track from their catalog to our jury of international music supervisors. In total, over 1200 music submissions were sent in, 279 nominees were selected and 12 winners took home prizes. In this article, we’re looking back at all the highlights of this year’s Film Sync Awards.

How it worked

Participants were first led to this landing page, where they were asked to choose a scene from one of four iconic films, all of which had at least been nominated at the Cannes Film Festival in the past.

Each film scene represented a theme: car chase, gracious, badass, and dreamy.

  • “Car chase” was represented by Thelma & Louise
  • “Gracious” was represented by In The Mood For Love
  • “Badass” was represented by Titane
  • “Dreamy” was represented by The Red Balloon

Participants sent in a song from their catalog they thought would work well for the scene they chose, through this Bridge.audio inbox..

On June 6th the participations were closed, and on June 9th the nominees were announced through this Bridge Project.

The 279 nominees were then given one week to create and send in a video montage of their song combined with the video scene of their choosing.

From there, the Bridge.audio team sent the video montages to the contests eight jury members:

  • Jennifer Noya, music supervisor (The Reluctant Traveler, The Family Plan, This England, Billie Eilish: Up Close)

  • Rebecca Delannet & Astrid Gomez-Montoya, co-founders of music supervision agency My Melody (LOL, The Little Prince, Validé, Family Business, Chanel)

  • Dan Koplowitz, owner of Friendly Fire Licensing (Tokyo Vice, Ubisoft)

  • Elise Luguern & Lucile Egal from music agency Josette Music Club (Le Roman de Jim, Niki, High Life, The Housemaid, Grace of Monaco)

  • Zoë Ellen Bryant, music supervisor at Carbon Logic (Blinded By The Light, The Miracle Club, Derry Girls, MobLand, I Hate Suzie)

  • Herminio Gutiérrez, music supervisor (La Llorona, Güeros, Instructions Not Included, Amores Perros, Falco, Nadie Nos Va a Extrañar)

After each jury member individually reviewed the nominated video montages, the jury got together as a group at the Festival Soeurs Jumelles on June 25th to select the winners.

The next morning, part of the jury gathered on stage at a panel discussion to reveal the 12 winners and present the top 3.

Who are the winners of the Film Sync Awards?

After being revealed in person at the Festival Soeurs Jumelles on June 26th, the winners of the 2025 FIlm Sync Awards were also announced online through this Bridge Project.

The winners took home a variety of prizes including exclusive spots on the Bridge Sync Hub, where they’ll be able to connect with music supervisors and unlock sync licensing opportunities for their music.
